8/10/2007: The Spirit finally arrive at her birth in Cape May, NJ, at the Miss Chris Marina and begins phase 3 of her long journey to becoming the Spirit of Cape May. The welder is beginning his work. and the finishing touch stage is well under way. What an exciting time to watch the building of an entirely new boat from the keel up from what she was to what she is.

7/1/2007 The Spirit continues her rip-apart at Yank Marine. The Stern of the boat has been opened like a can opener to make way for the covered open air seating. The generators have been removed to make way for quieter operating generators. Massive amounts of weight in both aluminum and wiring are removed and new wiring installed.

6/1/2007: Spirit of Cape May hits the shore of the lower 48! Captain Jeff Stewart and Captain Miles along with a crew take delivery of the boat in Newport, RI and take her on a 16 shakedown cruise to Tuckahoe NJ, and Yank Marine.
